Yokohama YK-CTX
The newest member of our exclusive line of Yokohama YK tires is meticulously engineered to give crossover drivers premium features at wallet-friendly prices.
Introducing the Yokohama YK-CTX. High-end performance, all-season dependability and spectacular value in one package.
Yokohama YK-CTX Features
Boasting dependable, comfortable and responsive handling, the Yokohama YK-CTX is custom designed to give your crossover legendary value. The YK-CTX delivers on all levels of CUV performance. And the best part is, we built it with Yokohama specifically to be both affordable and capable.
Coming from the engineering geniuses at Yokohama, it will be no surprise to you that the YK-CTX is built with innovative technology, starting with its boundary-breaking all-season tread compound.
Mixed with micro silica, the CTX’s tread compound is engineered to operate at its peak across a wide range of temperatures.
That means you can expect all-season performance that doesn’t flag as temps drop. Not only that, this specialized tread compound helps ensure confident braking and accelerating, no matter the weather. For even more confidence on roads coated in water, the YK-CTX is built with pass-through grooves and four wide circumferential grooves. These slice through water, helping you avoid hydroplaning.
Other performance features of the YK-CTX include:
- Its five-pitch block variation tread design cancels out road noise and cycle hum, for smooth, quiet highway driving.
- Dependable traction in light snow is provided by the combination of 2D and 3D interlocking sipes that open up to bite into loose powder.
- Wide shoulder blocks and a semi-solid center rib ensure snappy steering response and a linear on-road feel for confident highway maneuvering.
- An optimized contour of its tread area reduces bumps while enhancing steering response.
Yokohama YK-CTX Treadwear and Warranty
Designed exclusively for crossover vehicles, Yokohama built the YK-CTX with a carefully optimized contact patch. This ensures proper support for the weight of your ride. Plus, its micro-silica enhanced tread compound resists uneven treadwear, supporting longevity. Long story short, you can expect serious tread life from the YK-CTX.
Due to their efforts toward long-lasting performance, Yokohama backs all sizes of the YK-CTX with a 60,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty. But don’t let that stop you from protecting your new Yokohama tires with the most robust tire coverage on the market: our exclusive Certificates.
Protecting your tires against road hazards, our Certificates will cover them down to 3/32” of wear. In the unlikely event that your tires fail before that time, we’ll provide you with a brand new replacement tire (if your damaged tire can’t be safely repaired).
(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)
If you want all the advantages of leading-edge Japanese technology with the low prices and guaranteed quality of one of our exclusive products, then you want the Yokohama YK-CTX.

Didn't realize at highway speeds radar clocks you going 3-5 miles over your actual speed with wider tires. Whoops

Tried these tires for the first time and honestly, I’m not impressed. Road noise is significantly louder than expected, and the tread wears down much faster than it should, especially considering the price. For a brand that’s not widely known or reputable, I expected better performance. Most likely won’t buy again. Sorry about the review. It's an honest review of my feelings for these tires. I know you (person or AI) reading this but I figured I'd just express how I feel. Have a good day.

I was EXTREMLY disappointed with the service at the Lawrence store and specifically with Noah. Please see attached receipts. My daughter brought the car in for a flat tire. Noah told her she needed 4 new tires and a new spare. She purchased the tires. I called and spoke to Noah myself, I wanted to know more details as the last tires had no where near the expected mileage. He gave me more information and I was satisfied. He did say she needed a new spare, the old one was original to the car. He recommended a full size spare since that would be safer for her. That would also require a new wheel. I thanked him for thinking of safety and agreed. When she got the car back, the next day she noticed the spare was sitting in the back of her SUV. Inside the car. Blocking the 3rd row of seats from opening. Not in the designated spare tire spot underneath the car. She drives Uber and is not being able to do so because of this. Why would he recommend the "safety" of a full size spare without telling either of us it would not fit in the designed spare tire area under the car? How is it "safe" to have a loose wheel/tire inside the car that could potentially fatally injure someone inside the car in the event of an accident? She went back the next day, spoke with a manger and was told she was stuck with what she purchased. I, as well as my family have been Discount Tire customers for decades. We have never had this poor of an experience before. I am so disappointed with the suggestion of a full size spare without bothering to say it wouldn't fit where it was supposed to go. It is unbelievable to me that this would be considered acceptable. I am totally disappointed with whoever my daughter spoke to who would not make it right when she went back. I believe we should be able to return the full size wheel and spare, which was never used, and get a new spare with wheel (since ours was taken and not returned). I am happy to pay for the new spare and instillation of it in the proper location under the car. If this is not remedied, I will no longer be shopping for tires with discount tire in the future and I will urge my family, extended family and 4 adult children to never do business with you again. Please call me ASAP to get us the help we need. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Christine Olinger Disappointed Loyal Customer

Tires fell apart not even halfway to their expected lifespan. I’ve bought a dozen tire sets from Discount and received zero help when I presented this issue to the store. It was after they told me two were in the yellow and one needed to be replaced. Awful. I’ll consider buying elsewhere.
