Nitto Nomad Grappler

Nitto Nomad Grappler

If your CUV or SUV needs to navigate a variety of adventures, on and off-road, then the Nitto Nomad Grappler is for you. A well-balanced tire that delivers wet and snow performance, as well as light off-road grip, the Nomad is the ideal companion on your next journey. Its features include:

  • The Nitto Nomad Grappler is a versatile option for drivers who need a 3PMS rated tire with great on-road manners and competent off-road capabilities.

  • Its staggered sidewall lugs offer off-road traction for when you need to step off the pavement.

  • Zig-zag lateral grooves maintain consistent traction for the life of the tire, giving you long-lasting grip.

  • Wide circumferential and zig-zag grooves provide impeccable grip and increased water evacuation, resisting hydroplaning.

  • Enjoy improved dry traction thanks to increased tread block rigidity from its tapered block design.

  • Triangular shaped siping delivers extra biting edges for enhanced traction, giving a sense of well-earned security on and off-road.

  • With its reinforced circumferential stepped grooves and stone ejectors, you’ll enjoy enhanced traction in addition to resistance against stone drilling.

  • A full silica tread compound provides excellent wet and light snow performance and reduces braking distance, for peace of mind no matter the weather.

  • A double shoulder edge and variable pitch pattern reduce irregular wear and minimize pattern noise, giving you long-lasting comfort.

  • The Nomad Grappler is suitable for range of crossovers/SUVs including: Ford Bronco Sport & Explorer, Honda CR-V & Passport, Jeep Cherokee & Compass, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5, Nissan Rogue Sport, Subaru Ascent, Crosstrek & Forester, Toyota RAV4 & Highlander, Hyundai Tucson and more.

  • Nitto backs this tire with a generous 60,000-mile limited warranty.

So far I’m loving these tires, road noise is minimal and the traction on wet, dry, mud and snow have been excellent. I’m definitely be buying these again in the future.

While Nitto Terra Grapplers (Gen 1) treated me well for 55k, these Nomad Grapplers are disappointing due to hearing and feeling vibration on smooth pavement. Looking forward to replacing them. Not recommended.

Took the vehicle hunting to South Dakota and the tires performed well above expected for dirt roads and highways mixed along with some unmaintained roads.

            Dry Traction

They look pretty goofy on a Ford Fusion, but they fit with no rubbing and have improved the ride quality on gravel roads and the busted up Minnesota highways. They're definitely a little squishier in the side-walls than the low-profiles that were on it before, so handling in the dry is slightly less sharp, but overall a massive improvement.
