Nitto Mud Grappler
Planning to boldly go where none have gone before?
The not-so-secret recipe for the Mud Grappler is how Nitto combines equal parts off-road performance, durability, aggressive styling, and reliable daily drivability.
Nitto Mud Grappler Features
There's a reason Nitto Mud Grappler tires are the go-to for off-road enthusiasts, and it's not just because of the unyielding traction they achieve over some of the harshest terrain out there.
Mud Grappler tires are built with the technological advances that have earned Nitto heightened status in the world of serious 4x4 and off-roading.
Featuring a 3-ply polyester sidewall construction reinforced by the steel belt radial carcass, all Mud Grapplers have the rugged puncture resistance you need to take on the rough stuff without fear. They also feature stone ejectors that work to prevent damage from bringing your journey to a halt.
But it's more than just a tough outer shell. The Nitto Mud Grappler is engineered with an aggressive high-void tread pattern that lays down relentless traction in mud, sand, and even over sharp rocks or large boulders. For enhanced traction when things get slick, its large tread blocks contain sipes that add biting edges for increased wet grip.
Other performance features of the Nitto Mud Grappler include:
- A high void tread design delivers all the traction you need to take on the most brutal trails.
- Extreme flotation and grip over soft surfaces like deep mud and sand is provided by aggressive sidewall lugs, which also increase puncture and tear resistance.
- Its optimized tread block arrangement creates constant tread contact with the road surface.
- Dual sidewall designs: a rugged lizard skin-inspired design or raw shoulder lugs to help your rig stand out from the crowd.

However, if you want to make sure your tires are covered no matter where the road leads you, consider adding an extra layer of protection—our exclusive Certificates.
Our Certificates will cover your new Nitto Mud Grappler tires from the moment we put them on your vehicle to the trailhead and back, all the way down to 3/32” of wear. Although it's unlikely, if you take any non-repairable damage to your new Mud Grapplers, you'll get a brand new replacement Mud Grappler (with no hassle).
(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)
If you think your next adventure might pose a challenge, Nitto built the Mud Grappler to prove that challenge is in the heart of adventure. A set of Mud Grappler tires will simply help ensure that you can face both with absolute confidence.

Wrangler
Awesome Tires. A little noisy but they are 10 ply mud tires. They work great in sand and mud so that makes up for the noise. I run these on my Dodge Ram and Jeep Rubicon. I’ll be putting them on my Power Wagon soon.

Let’s face it, you don’t buy these tires if you want a nice quite sound. You buy them to go where you want when you want. Although they are mud tires they work very well in the sand on my Jeep Rubicon. I have a set on my Jeep and Dodge Ram 2500.
