AAA recommend America tire to fix my flat tire and due to their knowledge and professionalism, I will be purchasing my next set of tires at their store.

I really hate to leave this survey but, as an Americas tire customer for over 30 years, I was really perplexed about this experience. I waited in line for about 5 minutes and there was only 1 employee in the store. After about 5-10 minutes, a second employee came out from an office area and began using the computer. He finally looked up and motioned me over. I had some questions about a specific tire and their “price match” guarantee and he seemed rather aloof in his responses. I asked for a couple suggestions and although he gave me a few, there wasn’t any specific details about his suggestions. He just kept saying “what exactly are you asking” or “what exactly are you looking for”. I thought I had explained it already but, I could tell his mind wasn’t focused. He appeared to be looking around the lobby and out the windows (even though no one was there) So, after deciding on the original tire I was looking at, I showed him the website for the pride match and he didn’t really recognize the link. After leaving for 5 minutes, back into the office area, he comes back out and is still concerned that the website is fake. I found a phone number and he called them on speakerphone. Once he verified the info, he decided to honor the price match. All in all, the deal was ok and we ended up ordering the tires for installation the next day, he was very nonchalant about the entire thing and acted as if it was more of a bother to him. Never once did he smile or even look at me directly. I felt like he wasn’t even paying much attention and I ended up making my own decision. Also, he made sure that I paid for the warranty on each tire BEFORE he honored the price match. I understand the sales tactics and kick back he probably gets for up-selling but, he really didn’t do anything to help with my original questions or my wanting suggestions. I think I’ll go back to the Palm Springs AT as I’ve used before. They’re amazing over there.
