Nordman Solstice 4 Features
Nordman by Nokian, introduced the world to the concept of all-weather tires more than two decades ago. So, when they say they’ve moved the category ahead with innovations on an affordable all-weather tire, you know they can be trusted.
The Nordman Solstice 4 features an all-new tread compound powered by natural rubber and canola oil. It’s engineered to stay flexible in cold temperatures, while also standing up to summer heat–and it’s been rigorously tested in both.
Of course, it’s not enough for a season-spanning tire to weather heat and cold, it needs to hold the road in wet and light winter conditions, too. The Solstice 4’s asymmetrical tread design is perfectly balanced for both reliable cold-weather traction (even in snow) and sporty warm-weather handling.
The combination of semi-open SolsticeTech 4 siping in the shoulders, lateral supporting zigzags and closed 3D locking sipes in the center rib contribute to excellent traction on wet surfaces. Plus, snow claws provide longitudinal grip for precise cornering in light snow.
