Falken Azenis FK453

Falken proudly offers the Azenis FK453 ultra-high-performance tire, a great choice for your high-end sports car. This tire balances keen handling with features to improve your ride, including a silica-enriched compound and asymmetric tread pattern that contribute to good dry and wet grip. The tread also features variable blocks that reduce road noise. For great performance, the tire has a rigid carcass that maintains shape during extreme maneuvers, which helps enhance high-speed stability and handling. With this strong mix of performance benefits and ride comfort features, the Falken Azenis FK453 is a solid choice for your sports coupe or sedan.

Purchased the tires base on a very good experience with Falkens on an older model 911. However, with in the first 10 miles I knew it was not going to be good. The rear end wandered dramatically. It was so bad that it was scary. The car has an aggressive alignment but wow, this was bad. The Michelin PS2 it replaced never did this and the issue stopped after I replaced the tires with Michelins again. Just goes to show you get what you paid for.

These tires were pretty new without many reviews when I bought them. I took a chance on them because they were one of the only tires available in the 235/40R-17 size I wanted. As stated above, they were fantastic in the wet when they were new. Now that the tread grooves have worn down they're obviously not quite as great as they were, but that's expected. I was never blown away by the dry grip, but I would say the level of performance is good for the reasonable price of the tire. I haven't had any strange wear or noises. They are pretty quiet compared to many high-performance summer tires. I'm satisfied with how they've held up over 20K miles considering the treadwear rating. I wasn't sure how long they would actually last. I will probably need to replace them around 25K miles.Overall, I haven't been disappointed with my decision to buy these.

Very grippy, dry traction is great, wet traction is pretty good for this type of tire. Wear so far looks to be outstanding for a high performance tire. The Falkens are much more quiet than the OE Pirelli pzeros.
