A capable snow tire for your car or crossover, the Yokohama Ice Guard IG20 winter passenger tire meets the tire industry standard for use in severe winter weather. This tire gives you stability in snowy, slushy, or icy driving conditions by using an absorbent tread compound that extracts moisture coating the road surface. The tire tread further boosts wet and winter traction, using circumferential grooves that eject water from the contact patch and 3D zigzag sipes that provide additional biting edges. For smooth performance, the tire uses a block center rib that improves braking, straight-line stability, and noise reduction capability. I bought the tires new in January and used them thru March, 2014 in upstate New York. Drove approximately 5000 miles in various winter conditions. Very happy with the tires so far.
