i bought these to use during the winter in mammoth lakes. had record snow this year. was slipping and sliding in my stock M+S tires on my MDX. I was tired of putting on chains. after alot of research came down to these nokians that performed very well in deep snow 1-2 feet. never got stuck. did pretty good on icey roads also but not as good as chains. still had to be careful when driving on ice.
