Michelin X-Ice Xi3
Designed to thrive in winter driving conditions, the Michelin X Ice Xi3 provides powerful and long-lasting traction on ice, snow and slush—all while meeting Michelin's Green X fuel economy requirements.
It's a tire for all-out winter performance, with no compromises.
Michelin X-Ice Xi3 Features
The third generation of Michelin X-Ice tires, the Xi3 is engineered for powerful winter grip and features the FleX-Ice tread compound.
But why should you care about the tread compound of a snow tire like this one?
That's where the action is! Take it from us, snow tire tread compounds are always important, but never more so than when the roads are coated in snow and ice. Thanks to Michelin's silica-enhanced FleX-Ice tread compound, your new Michelin snow tires maintain flexibility and grip when the temperatures dip below 45 degrees. But a technologically-advanced tread compound isn't the only thing the X-Ice Xi3 tires have to offer.
Backed by Michelin's heritage of winter performance, the X-Ice Xi3 is a snow tire designed to give you peace of mind when the weather is at its worst. With excellent performance in ice and on snow, Michelin X Ice tires are a great choice for the driver who wants as much safety and performance out of their vehicle as they can possibly get when white-out conditions are imminent.
Other performance features of the X-Ice Xi3 include:
- 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating, certifying it for use in severe snow and extreme winter conditions.
- Cross Z Sipes that stabilize the outside shoulder blocks for responsive handling while providing thousands of extra biting edges for grip on packed snow or roads that haven't been cleared yet.
- Improved grip on ice is provided by Micro Pumps, which help wick away water from slick surfaces.
- A classic directional tread promotes hydrophobic qualities that increase traction on wet and slushy roadways.
Michelin X Ice Xi3 Treadwear and Warranty
Michelin dedicated years of research to refining the X Ice line, which has produced a winter tire line that incorporates advanced cold-weather tread compound and the unique MaxTouch Construction. Not only does this ensure that you get winter grip you can count on, it also helps the Xi3 resist uneven treadwear, so you get confident Michelin-quality winter performance that lasts, winter after winter.
As a result, Michelin supports most sizes of the X-Ice Xi3 with a 40,000-mile manufacturer's warranty. (Select fitments with an H speed rating are backed by a 30,000-mile warranty.) Not commonly seen on winter tires, this mileage warranty is another confidence-booster Michelin uses to prove you'll get long-lasting winter performance from these tires.
But you can get protection as dependable as your new Michelin winter tires when you opt for our exclusive Certificates. Rain or shine (or ice and snow), our Certificates will cover your new Michelin snow tires all the way down to 3/32” of treadwear.
Although it's unlikely, if your tires fail, we'll get you set up with a brand new replacement tire (if your Xi3 can't be safely repaired). How's that for peace of mind?
(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)
Don't let winter stop you in your tracks. Put a set of Michelin X-Ice Xi3 snow tires on your car, van or crossover and you won't just get where you're going this winter, you may even enjoy yourself along the way.
