I find it very interesting that I am receiving this email from Discount Tire. When I showed up for the appointment to have them installed, John W at the Tulsa Hills store looked in his computer and told me that I hadn’t purchased any tires there. I told him that my wife purchased them through the Discount Tire website with the help of a customer service rep that she called. He laughed at me and told me I was mistaken. The other employees were even chuckling and this was in front of other customers. I finally had my wife come into the store. She explained exactly how she ordered and paid for the tires and only then did John W acknowledge that the tires actually came from their sister website Tire Rack and they did indeed have them for our scheduled installation. John W seemed to enjoy “putting this old man in his place”. I will probably continue to do business with Discount Tire but I will never return to this Tulsa store again. This is not our first set of tires we have bought there and no one deserves to be treated like I was. I had no knowledge of the Tire Rack entity and everything we did was through the Discount Tire website. I guess Discount Tire has fallen into the ever increasing theory that the customer is always wrong!
