General Grabber A/TX
Are you looking for a durable all-terrain tire that balances off-road traction for powering through any obstacle with a smooth, well-mannered on-road ride? Look no further than the General Grabber A/TX.
General Grabber A/TX Features
Whether it's a single day on the trail or you're going on an extended overlanding trip, the General Grabber ATX is an all-terrain tire designed to help you master the trails with its off-road performance and rugged durability. And with its comfortable on-road performance, you can be sure to drive with confidence on the pavement too.
But let's get back to the fun stuff. If you take to the trails, then you need a tire tough enough to handle harsh obstacles. That's why the Grabber A/TX utilizes General's Duragen technology, which provides resistance to punctures, tears and cuts.
But the Duragen-enhanced tread compound of the ATX does more than just resist damage in unforgiving driving conditions. It also ensures your Grabber tires maintain flexibility across a wide range of temperatures—including cold weather. This means that you can take on the winter season as boldly as you do your favorite trails.
Other performance features of the Grabber A/TX include:
- Designed for traction no matter the terrain or the weather, this tire features the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating and exceeds the Rubber Manufacturer Association’s requirements for traction in severe snow and winter weather.
- Excellent off-road traction in soft, unforgiving terrains like mud and sand is delivered by rugged, off-road style alternating shoulder scoops.
- A Five Row tread design provides biting edge contact in every direction for aggressive off-road traction.
- For reliable on-road managers, these tires feature Comfort Balance technology, an extra layer in the tread of the tire that reduces impacts and bumps for a ride as comfortable as it is capable.
- For additional traction when winter roads get slick, the ATX is studdable.
General Grabber ATX Treadwear and Warranty
Thanks to its computer-optimized tread design, Grabber A/TX tires don't just work on the rough stuff—they also resist uneven treadwear. This means you can count on long-lasting tread life from your new all-terrain tires from General Tire.
As a result, General back P-metric sizes of the Grabber ATX with a 60,000-mile manufacturer's warranty. (LT-metric sizes are backed by a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty.)
That said, if you're the type of driver who wants coverage that is as durable as your General Grabber A TX tires, you might want to invest in our exclusive Certificates.
Designed to protect your new all-terrain tires from whatever hazards await on the road or trail, our Certificates will cover your tires down to 3/32”. If your tires are damaged beyond repair, we’ll give you a brand new replacement tire.
(You can add our Certificate coverage in the cart of your order.)
Life is all about balance, and that's where the General Grabber A/TX lives; a perfect balance of all-terrain traction and on-road comfort and dependability all at a great price.

These are my second set of General Grabbers. First set were AT2. This set ATX. I don’t think there is much difference. On first set I got 85,000 miles out of them. I hope my vehicle lasts long enough to get 80,000 plus out of this set.
