One of the key performance features of the W965 (and any winter tire) is its rubber compound. For peerless traction when you start seeing your breath, (around 45 degrees and below) the Blizzak W965 features a multi-cell rubber compound. 

On top of grip that doesn’t ice over in freezing temps, the multi-cell compound also features microscopic pores, which cut through standing water on icy surfaces so you can roll without fear on challenging winter roads.

Other performance features of the Blizzak W965 include:

• Three Peak Mountain Snowflake certified, this tire exceeds the RMA’s standards for performance in harsh winter weather.
• Stable highway handling is provided by the wide outside shoulder blocks.
• Dependable for carrying heavy loads through winter storms, this tire is built in Load Range E fitments.
• Independent tread blocks and zigzag sipes create thousands of biting edges that provide multi-directional grip on ice and snow.
• For added grip in slush and snow, notched shoulder blocks dig in deep and power through winter detritus.
